EasySMPC is a dormant project (over 6 years old with zero recent velocity and only 21 stars) that attempted to democratize Secure Multi-Party Computation through a GUI. While the mission of making complex cryptography accessible is noble, the project lacks any technical or community moat. In the time since its last update, the Privacy-Preserving Machine Learning (PPML) and SMPC space has moved toward Python-integrated libraries like PySyft (OpenMined), TF-Encrypted, and Concrete (Zama), which offer significantly better performance and developer ergonomics. The no-code interface is a thin wrapper over standard protocols and does not provide enough value to overcome the lack of maintenance and modern cryptographic primitives. It is effectively a historical prototype rather than a competitive tool in the current landscape. Companies like Inpher, TripleBlind, and Duality Technologies provide production-grade versions of this concept, making the displacement risk high and the defensibility essentially non-existent.
