An evaluation framework and benchmark suite designed to measure the performance of Large Language Models (LLMs) in generating Verilog hardware description code on the first attempt.

VeriScope enters a highly specialized but increasingly crowded niche of AI-assisted Electronic Design Automation (EDA). With 0 stars and being 0 days old, it currently lacks any community momentum or data gravity. It competes directly with established benchmarks like VerilogEval (Nvidia) and RTLLM, which already have research mindshare. The 'first-pass' focus is a useful metric for developer productivity but is a methodology that can be easily adopted by existing suites. The defensibility is low because the value of a benchmark lies entirely in its adoption by the research community; without a large, diverse, and human-verified set of problems that offer better coverage than Nvidia's datasets, it remains a personal experiment. Frontier labs are unlikely to build this specific tool, but they are the primary users; however, if a lab like OpenAI or a major EDA player like Synopsys releases a standard benchmark, VeriScope would be instantly displaced.
