Vaultscribe is a day-zero project (0 stars, 0 age) entering a crowded niche: connecting personal knowledge bases (PKM) to LLMs via Anthropic's Model Context Protocol. While the 'convention-aware' aspect suggests it may handle Obsidian's specific syntax (like Wikilinks and YAML frontmatter) better than a generic filesystem MCP server, the technical barrier to entry is extremely low. There are already multiple competing Obsidian-to-MCP implementations (e.g., community versions often found in the MCP-get or smithery.ai registries).
