A reference implementation of a microservice-based e-commerce platform using AWS and GraphQL Federation.
Defensibility

ShopxIndia is a standard architectural demonstration project. With only 3 stars and 0 forks after 500 days, it shows no sign of community adoption or development velocity. The project implements well-known enterprise patterns (GraphQL Federation, event-driven microservices) but offers no unique IP or specialized logic that distinguishes it from dozens of similar boilerplates. Defensibility is nearly non-existent as the tech stack relies entirely on commodity AWS services and standard patterns. In the current market, developers are moving towards managed commerce-as-a-service (like Shopify or Commercetools) or mature open-source alternatives (like MedusaJS or Saleor), both of which provide significantly more feature depth and security than this prototype. Frontier models can now generate the scaffolding for this entire project from a single prompt, rendering the manual assembly of such a stack obsolete for any use case other than individual learning.
