A Go-native bridge connecting the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to the New Relic observability platform, allowing LLMs to query APM metrics, logs, and alerts directly.

The project is a standard utility wrapper that maps the New Relic API to the Model Context Protocol (MCP). While functional and timely given the rise of MCP, it lacks any structural moat. With 0 stars and 0 forks, it is currently a personal experiment or a very early-stage utility. The primary risk is 'Platform Domination': New Relic has its own 'New Relic AI' (formerly Grok) and is highly likely to release an official, maintained MCP server or similar plugin architecture that would immediately obsolete third-party community implementations. Furthermore, Anthropic's own 'modelcontextprotocol/servers' repository or community hubs like Smithery.ai are aggregating these connectors, making individual, un-starred repos difficult to discover. There is no unique IP here beyond the boilerplate code required to bridge two APIs; any engineer familiar with Go and New Relic could replicate this in a few days. The displacement horizon is short (under 6 months) as observability vendors move to capture the 'AI Agent' entry points to their data.
